There was a thread about the Hamas member who became a spy for Israel a few days ago on the Huffington Post. The discussion was mostly centered around the possibility that he would not be granted his request to have asylum in the USA and be deported back to Gaza. So most of the discussion was centered around why America should or should not take him in, though there were also people asking why doesn't Israel take him? Answer: He doesn't want to go there. Anyway, there were a few comments about Mr. Yousef that I thought I would share. Remember, his actions saved the lives of hundreds of people, Israeli and Palestinian alike:
He could be anything. A double agent. An informant. An AIPAC paid publicity stunt that could blow up in their faces later. But, we KNOW THIS.... He was an abused child subjected to professional threats and coercion of an intel agency. They claimed he was "turned" at 17 years old or earlier. His first arrest and lengthy detention at 10 and many more before 18.
He was converted to Christianity in 1999, but continued to attend Hamas strategy meetings until 2005?
Criminal and immoral activity coming and going. But, AIPAC is promoting the U.S. get involved because no where else in the world is safe? He could have a nice place in Switzerland. But, AIPAC has ideas where they will need to risk HIS life some more, no doubt.
He should be deported to the Gaza Strip to face the justice of those he betrayed.
americans hate snitches and traitors... good luck bud.
" I am a traitor to my people,... " that tells you everything you need to know. Such people should not be given sanctuary. Tell him to ask the country he spied for. I believe that is what is customary.
Deport him, too bad you back stabbed your own people now deal with their justice. There is no room in this country for disloyal people, we met our quota.
