Anti-Settlement Story Pulls Double Duty on the HP

The New York Times recently released an article about how organizations that support Israelis settlements in the West Bank get certain benefits such as tax exemptions. There was also discussion of Evangelical Christians and the usual flurry of opinions that any article about the settlements usually brings.

What is interesting is that the Huffington Post decided to publish this story not once but twice. The first one is here. Notice how the headline decided to throw in a jab at Obama's peace plans as well, an editorial that did not appear in the NYT version.

The second version of the article is here. It contains a shorter headline and text as well as a different picture but if you click on the link back to the NYT you will see that it is the same story. Oh, and by the way, each version of the story has over 250 comments.

Now how many other articles do you know that have been posted twice on the HP? I sure can't think of any.

  1. And they both get a disproportionately large number of comments. And we know how they'll stack up.
