People should not fight after praying. It is ridiculous, but isn't this more provocateur ism on the part of the people who were brought there in 1948 and who displaced the people who had been there since 79 AD? Aren't the people who were brought there in 1948 still just trying to grab all they can? I am really tired of this and can not see why the USA blindly supports obvious trouble makers who can never get along with their neighbors. This fight has been going on for most of my life and this is why airports have turned into annoyance zones. When will it stop. It has already crippled most of the known world!

In regards to this issue, let's do a simple comparison.
All the First Nations people have the right to vote, have American/Canadian citizenship, and can buy a house anywhere in the coutries and live there, while non-First Nations people are not allowed to live in certain areas without the express permission of First Nation people.
On the other hand, in Israel, other than a select few, they don't have citizenship (and even those that do don't have the same rights), can't vote, Israel just passed a law that will allow communities to refuse them the right to live in those communities, even if they have citizenship, and there is nowhere that they can keep for themselves.

By seeking to make the Al-Aqsa Mosque to its list of NATIONAL heritage sites, Israel is in essence claiming rights and ownership of this and other shrines. They know and realize they can't just storm the sites, fearing international condemnation, but by claiming it as their national heritage, Israel is staking a claim to it, and then can use this as a pretext to "protect" it, barring pilgrims-worshippers from entering, or building another wall around it with check-points, limiting access to this house of worship, or to charge admission (on their tours) for monetary gain. In sum, it's nothing more than another land-grab, via different means.
Given the Israeli propensity to sieze (steal) land, then occupy and build illegal settlements, it is hard to believe their intent is altruistic in this instance. They've done so with Christian-owned property and religious sites in the past, so this is not so much an issue of Muslim v.
