HPW: Brazil Rejects Iran Sanctions

The Huffington Post had a thread today about how Brazil has decided to abstain from the veto to sanction Iran, upsetting the US. Sounds like a perfectly ordinary thread that has nothing to do with Israel. That is, until I started reading it. There was a plethora of people telling us the hard truth that Israel controls the US (but not understanding why this truth is more well known) and cheering Brazil for "standing up to AIPAC". Thread is moderated and ongoing, but I don't think there'll be too much more.

it's far past time that we US citizens stop bowing down to israel and untie ourselves from our "special relationship" of israeli domination.
as sharon said "we, the Jewish people control America, and the Americans know it."
olmert proved he had bush on a string by pulling him out of a meeting to take his phone call and controlling condi rice.
“In the night between Thursday and Friday, when the secretary of state wanted to lead the vote on a ceasefire at the Security Council, we did not want her to vote in favour,” Olmert said.
“I said ‘get me President Bush on the phone’. They said he was in the middle of giving a speech in Philadelphia. I said I didn’t care. ‘I need to talk to him now’. He got off the podium and spoke to me.”I told him the United States could not vote in favour. It cannot vote in favour of such a resolution. He immediately called the secretary of state and told her not to vote in favour.”
"US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was left shame-faced after President George W. Bush ordered her to abstain in a key UN vote on the Gaza war, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said on Monday.
"She was left shamed. A resolution that she prepared and arranged, and in the end she did not vote in favour," Olmert said in a speech in the southern town of Ashkelon."

In 1977, after a right-wing coalition under Menachen Begin took power, the Israelis began to use the Samson Option not just to deter attack but to allow Israel to “redraw the political map of the Middle East” by expanding hundreds of thousands of Israeli settlers into the West Bank and Gaza.

Then-Minister of Defense Ariel Sharon said things like "We are much more important than (Americans) think. We can take the middle east with us whenever we go" and "Arabs may have the oil, but we have the matches."

He proclaimed his - and many Likud Party members' - goals of transforming Jordan into a Palestinian state and “transferring” all Palestinian refugees there.

A practice known worldwide as "ethnic cleansing."

DustinTime
Two Israel supporters are frequently quoted for their explicit support of the Samson Option. Martin Van Creveld, a professor of military history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, has been quoted as saying: "Most European capitals are targets for our air force....We have the capability to take the world down with us. And I can assure you that that will happen before Israel goes under."

Thank you, Brazil, for saying no to dishonesty, no to AIPAC.
Now brace yourself for the dirty, underhanded consequences...

"Israel WILL attack Iran over its nuclear program"

No they won't. Israel has a lot of bark but no bite. They can drop phosphorus bomb on civilian population (they admitted it and yes it is war crime and yes it is banned as chemical weapons are) or send 26 people to kill one guy in a hotel room, but they have no sustainability without the US supply lines more than a week. And they full well know what would be coming their way if they start it. Even Netanyahu isn't that stupid. So general arm-chair dream on.

it is israel that has no real intention of negotiating. read this article by Robert Fisk, the most celebrated writer/journalist of Britain....you will be shocked...

arabbitNobody likes a bully. It's just human nature.
When Zionists point their fingers and shout "unclean, unclean" at people who voice concern at the double standard it hurts Israel.
When Israel pens people up in ghettos then bombs them, good people know that's not right. The world doesn't revolve around Israel. Other people have their own problems. Dreams of world domination by elite kleptomaniacs may be one of them.
What Hillary is trying to do is set the stage for another war. She's crying "wolf."
Bush and his cabal used the WMD line on Iraq and look at where we are now.
There's no evidence that Iran is building nukes but the one sure way to make them want one is to threaten, bully and scare them. It's human nature.
Iran has repeatedly made overtures to the US to quell the animosity and has been rebuffed every time.
One can only conclude that the US Government aligned with Israel want another war.
If the Israeli Government wants peace, they have to have peace in their hearts and work for it.

There IS an acknowledged "67 border, as you well know, and it is the basis for peace between the parties. The Israeli "apartheid wall" seeks to steal even more land and bypass tha borders as the basis for peace. The Saudi Initiative offered peace, full recognition, trade, diplomatic exchange and normalization of relations between the Arab world and Israel; it was, just like any number of other efforts to reduce or end the "conflict", "rejected" by Israel.

It is frightening that you claim that Israels nuclear weaponbs would be used in so small an area and threaten the entire world; and given the history of Israeli attacks on civilians and its neighbors, it is Israel that should be denied nuclear weapons. Religious extremism and racism, a Mossada complex, and nuclear weapons is not a good mix.

africaman
Good for you Brazil. Until we all accept that Isreal is the real problem here, nothing will ever happen in the middle east. If Isreal can have a bomb, and commit the crimes they have been commiting in that region, with US support (money, arms etc), why can't Iran. America, stop fighting Isreal's wars.

Countess
The weapons of mass destruction were not in Iraq but in Israel and we should demand they give them up before we start pushing the neocon dream of war with Iran.

FlyingLow
Good. It's about time someone stood up to the subtle and very disturbing control that Isra(e)l holds over the United States.
[response: "An amazingly accurate statement. It's a shame this reality goes unnoticed.]

no dodo
Are you saying it is A-OK for the Israeli aggressive, religious/military dictatorship to have WMDs, but it is not A-OK for the Iranian aggressive, religious/military dictatorship to have WMDs?

no dodo
I'm no fan of Pat Robertson, and a nuke in his hands would be a disaster, but isn't there apartheid where a democracy should be in Israel? Isn't it a stretch calling Israel a democracy?

rperdueb
I as Tax payer here at home meaning The USA do not condone MURDER OF ANYKIND and ANYONE PERIOD, and certainly not by a TERRORIST STATE as ISRAEL.

Israel has always used, any method, no matter how brutal, deadly or indiscriminate, including ethnic cleansing, occupation & illegal colonization, mass collective punishment
/oppression, war against civilians, & crimes against humanity to secure its continued existence as an apartheid racist state. The shameful & demeaning position of the US as Israeli puppet & supporter (monetary, military, & political), at the expense of our own best interests, security & honor, is a fact as the record shows clearly, & the building confrontation with Iran, as previously in Iraq, is part of that reality; thus the comments here. The bigotry, deceit, brutality & arrogance of Israeli extremist positions/goals are at the heart of the "conflict", & any discussion of ME policy must include Israeli influence & actions. It is clear that Israeli pressure, & that from their agents, AIPAC, have seriously undermined US interests, tarnished our national honor, & subverted our domestic politics & foreign policy to Israeli goals. The position of sycophant & toady to Israel is no longer acceptable, & the sooner millions more Americans of good will speak out against Israeli racism & theft, the better. Israel is one of the most hated & despised states on Earth & the US must end our position as lap-dog to their racist expansionist agenda.
[and then a bunch of links that I don't want to post]

it is US/Israel because the US is a shill for Israel. Israel is the one screaming the loudest to punish Iran for having the gall to question Israel's actions.

The US government is bought and paid for by Israel and does as it is commanded by Israel. Heck, Olmert even bragged that he could get Bush out of a meeting to get him to give Rice new orders, something no other leader could do..

As for Europe, they are too afraid of being independent of Israel and the US.

As for Iran getting nuclear weapons, that is not a big deal since lots of countries already have them, including Pakistan (a Muslim country). Although if Iran is really trying to get nuclear weapons, they are doing it in the most expensive and time consuming way. It would be far cheaper and quicker to just buy them on the arms market since there are plenty missing - see nti.org

If Israel did not exist, this would not be a problem.

Brazil shouldn't be pressured into determining any policy for any other nation by the US.
By the way,Iran has a legal right to enrich to electric grade and all inspections show that.
Iran has signed the NPT.
Iran has abided by all requirements of that law
But:
Israel actually has bo.mbs
Israel actually has threatened that they can nu.ke European capitols in the past
Israel refuses to allow inspections of Dimona
Israel refuses to acknowledge that they have nu.ke bo.mbs as that would preclude them from receiving aid under the Symington agreement.
The war.mongers are in TelAviv, not Tehran

whitegayrepublican
Uh...Israel owns the US. Thought you knew.
[response to being called an anti-Semite]

perhaps if you did more reading, you would know this to be true. Systematic and controlled chaos coupled with media ownership. Control the figure heads....control the message.

Go BraziI! Say no to AlPAC 2ionist war monger Hillary Clinton.

2ionist spell? get a life...

Not going to happen. The Zionists will continue their illegal Jewish constructions, all while trying to undermine Obama and whining about Iran getting a nuclear weapon. Meanwhile, they sit on a hundred nuclear warheads of their own.

At least Obama has said no to the Isreali request for Apache attack helicopters. You do have to give Obama credit, he's a lot better then past presidents.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/126155/Support-Israel-Near-Record-High.aspx

^ An interesting poll. I think it shows why it's finally time for a real Isreal policy. Democratic support for the "state" of Isreal is down to 50%, so it might be politically feasible for Obama to take some real actions.

spyguy68
It is important to note that the US support for Israel is almost entirely emotional and uninformed. The support may be wide, but it is extremely shallow.

Once Israel causes the US enough harm, the support will evaporate overnight.

Richard Pearce
Well, there are two reports out there being talked about, the IAEA one, and the Goldstone one. One comes with two themes, one theme being there is no physical evidence of anything funky going on and the other theme being there have been some allegations made that haven't been disproved (though it doesn't bother to list the hundreds of allegations from the same sources that have been so discredited they are considered to have been disproved). The other contains allegations, and cites physical evidence that backs up several of those allegations, and dismisses allegations for which there is no evidence (though it does invite the parties involved to submit any evidence they have for consideration).

Guess which one the US supports, and which one it dismisses as hopelessly biased.

This is no to aipac, Hillary and not to the US...it is high time US should get rid of the clutches of aipac and its proxies...

Go Brazil! Say no to AlPAC 2ionist war monger Hillary Clinton.

Good article to expose the 2ionist controlling US mainstream media ... New York Times et al.

Why not take the same route Israel took to become a nuclear power? Oh, I forgot, Israelis think they're above the Law.

Way to go Brazil! Say no to A I P A C!! Hahaha!!

i read it, it sounded like brooks was arguing for eugenics and indentured servitude for the other 98% of the US population.

Agreed and if this war is waged against Iran,it will be just another where our loyal American fighting
force will lay down their lives for the corrupt state of Israel
[response: "That's one of the truths everyone is afraid to acknowledge...and is usually deleted by the moderators"]

If "We're gonna go to War big time" it's got nothing to do with "Brazil, Red China, and Russia not playing ball" it's all to do with the wishes of Israel. And the BLIND obedience of America to prosecute the wants of Israel even if it's not in America's best interest.
[responses: "DINGDINGDING we have a winner" and "Ditto that"]

Mikeeee
When the US decides not to be a puppet state of Israel, there will be peace in the region, until that happens, there's no chance.
