“The genius is "international protocol". Heads of state speak first. Probably, many of the protesters are irked because Achmadinejad trumped them in getting to the podium first! Where, oh where is our much-vaunted "western tolerance"? The propaganda line, that Mr. A's speech was "hateful' and "racist" tries to frame his speech in a perjorative manner so that the message will be tainted and devalued on delivery, a common enough propaganda ploy effectively employed by the pro-Israeli press. On examination, Achmadinejad said nothing that was not, essentially, true. Israel IS the most racist country in existence today, now that S. Africa has reformed. Palestinians ARE treated like dirt, used as cheap labor, & murdered with impunity by Jews of all stripes. Israeli politicians are quite open in their racist contempt for and comments against Arabs. Now, when anyone has the temerity to point all this out THAT PERSON becomes the racist and the intolerant one! it's all quite amazing, but the only audience served by all of this is really just the United States. The rest of the world, incluing Israel, doesn't swallow the spin. We here in the U.S. (along with one or two European countries) need to take our blinders off. We are not well served with this denial approach, and it will redound to our detriment.”
